What you are buying

A spot on a wall. You pay, your message appears on your side's wall, and it ranks by what you paid. Your money also counts as points for your side's score. That is the entire product.

Nobody wins money

There is no prize, no payout and no pot. Nothing of cash value is awarded to anyone, ever. There is nothing to win — the side that ends ahead ends ahead, and that is the whole of it. This is not betting and it is not a contest: it is a message placement, like buying a highlighted comment.

The money you pay is ours. It buys your placement and we keep it as revenue, subject to the refunds below. It is not held for anyone, not pooled, and not paid out to any side, team or player.

What gets pulled

Go after the team, the city, the record, the fanbase. Not a person. We remove:

• slurs and attacks based on race, religion, gender, sexuality or disability
• threats, or wishing harm on anyone
• personal information — addresses, phone numbers, workplaces
• attacks on a named private individual
• sexual content, spam, scams and links

Messages are screened before payment, so a rejected message costs you nothing. If something slips through and we pull it afterwards, it is not refunded.

Money

$5 minimum. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card.

Your message posts once your payment confirms — usually within a few seconds. If confirmation is delayed, it posts when it arrives rather than being lost. Until then nothing is on the wall.

Once a message is up, sales are final and we do not refund a change of mind. There are three things we do refund, and we would much rather you asked us than your bank:

• a charge you did not authorise
• a payment made on your card by someone under 18 in your household
• a payment we took where your message never posted

If your bank reverses a charge instead, the message comes down and the points come off the board. The same happens if we refund you.

Boards

We open the boards. There is no way to create your own yet — if that changes, this page changes with it. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any league, team, or organisation, and we do not use anyone's logos. If you own a mark and want a board renamed, email hello@yowl.lol and we will rename it.

When a board closes

A board with a closing time stops taking new messages at that time, and what is on the wall stays up. If you had already started checking out before it closed, your payment still counts and your message still posts — we do not take money and then refuse the placement. In practice that means a board can move for a short while after its closing time, and then it stops.

Age

You must be 18 or older to put money on a board. You confirm this at checkout. We do not verify it — we take you at your word — so if a payment was made on your card by someone in your household who is under 18, email us and we will refund it. No argument, no proof required. The message comes down with it.

• A message about you that shouldn't be up — we'll pull it.
• You own a name or mark used on a board — tell us and we'll rename it.
• A charge you didn't authorise — we refund it.

We aim to respond within one business day.

We would rather refund you than have you call your bank. A reversed charge costs us more than the refund does, so asking us first is genuinely faster for both of us.
